KEY EARLY LEARNING CENTER

Learning through Play
In two main rooms, children have free choice to play with various developmentally appropriate materials throughout the day.

Children can practice their cooperative and communication skills in dress up by playing firefighter or doctor with a friend or by "cooking" an entire meal for a friend in the kitchen.
Work on spatial awareness and problem solving can be seen when junior architects are creating their buildings out of different blocks or when putting together a puzzle.

They can explore different sounds and create their own songs in the music areas.

Practice their fine motor skills by working on their creative drawings, tracing letters in their name, lacing beads, and cutting with scissors.

Learning from the environment
Within the large backyard space, children have access to two water tables, a sandbox, butterfly nets, sport balls, and more to exercise their big body muscles.

Children are also welcome to assist with maintenance of the garden, where they can observe changes and growth of the fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. They are more likely to try and enjoy vegetables that they take part in growing themselves.

With a short walking distance, we can also take a trip to Woodbriar park for a new natural scenery.
