KEY EARLY LEARNING CENTER

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
My Story
Working with children has always been a passion of mine and I can remember eagerly asking my neighbors to let me babysit since I was in Elementary school. So of course, my passion led me to a career in education. I moved up to Greeley from Colorado Springs for college in 2009, received my bachelors degree in Early Childhood from the University of Northern Colorado, and having been living here ever since. Now, I am married and have a small family of my own. We enjoy going on adventures and travelling to new places when we can.
Please get in touch if you would like to schedule a time to meet one another and see if we would be a good fit.
MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Certified and Professional Educator
2013 - 2014
TODDLER TEACHER
My first professional teaching position... I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up and working at my first school (KinderCare) solidified that. Making those loving bonds with the children and seeing how proud they look when they master a new skill is such a heart warming feeling.
2014- 2017
TODDLER TEACHER
While working in this position, I gained valuable knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and my love of it. It showed me how wildly underestimated toddlers are and how capable they truly are when given the opportunity to do tasks on their own.
2017
TUTORING DIRECTOR
As a tutoring director and head tutor, I helped children build on their skills in English, reading comprehension, mathematics, test prep, and general homework help. I worked with kindergarteners all the way up to freshmen in college.
2017-2022
TODDLER & PRESCHOOL TEACHER
I had the pleasure of working for a nonprofit Head Start program where I worked with children and their families of many different backgrounds. With the program I learned a lot about local resources within my community and got to see how truly diverse Greeley is.
2022- Present
KELC opens
I decide to begin my dream of having my own center by becoming a licensed in-home child care provider working with various ages. I'm continuing to enjoy this new chapter of my career and watching my group of kiddos grow from babies to preschoolers and then off to Kindergarten.
